MOT Tester - Frome

  • Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, pending experience.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:30am-1:00pm paid as overtime

Our client, a family-run automotive service centre operating in the Frome region for over 25 years, is looking to hire an MOT Tester to join their team.

Reporting to the Workshop Foreman and working as part of a friendly team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, ensuring vehicles pass or are flagged for repairs.
  • Conduct taxi inspections, VSI checks, and minibus inspections.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.

To be eligible, you will need to hold an active Class 4/7 MOT testing licence and a UK driving licence with minimal points. If you have an active Class 5 MOT licence, that would be highly beneficial, but it is non-essential. Overall, you will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work through the workshop.
