We are recruiting for an experienced MET Technician for a busy accident repair centre based in Liverpool. Duties of the MET Technician:
  • Carrying out strip and fit (MET) work as part of the vehicle repair process
  • Removing and refitting trim components, bumpers, headlights, sensors, and other vehicle parts
  • Performing electrical disconnections and reconnections following manufacturer procedures
  • Working with modern vehicle electrical systems and advanced technology, including ADAS
  • Completing plastic repairs to vehicle components where necessary
  • Following manufacturer repair methods and technical guidelines
  • Identifying additional damage and reporting findings to the Workshop Controller or Estimator
  • Collaborating closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Technicians, and Workshop Controllers
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard
  • Conducting quality checks before vehicles are returned to customers
Requirements of the MET Technician:
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician within an accident repair or bodyshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim components
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair methods
  • Experience performing plastic repairs is advantageous
  • Relevant automotive qualifications such as NVQ, IMI or ATA are preferred
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
This role is based on full-time hours, working Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00. The position offers stability, a supportive team, and the opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment.
