My client is a well known and established Independent garage in Bedford. Established for over 35 years, they have built an excellent reputation for providing honest, high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs. They are also an authorised Bosch Car Service Centre, with access to the latest diagnostic equipment and technology. You'll be responsible for maintenance of the fleets of several national companies, working alongside a friendly and experienced team. It's a great opportunity to maximise your earning potential while developing your technical skill set across a wide variety of vehicles.
  • Basic Salary: up to £45,000 
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (No Weekends)
  • Opportunity to gain MOT Licence and Hybrid/EV training available
Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis, service, and repair in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Full vehicle service and repair on a variety of vehicles including mainly cars, but also occasional vans.
  • Carrying out diagnostic work using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and recorded as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance.
  • MOTs if you have your MOT Licence, including Class 4 and potentially Class 7 testing.
  • Working to a high standard of workmanship and ensuring vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified Service/Maintenance Technician
  • 3+ Years within a workshop.
  • Time Served Technicians without qualifications CAN apply.
  • MOT Testers highly sought after but not necessary to apply.
  • Have your own tools.
  • Experience with diagnostics would be advantageous.
  • Experience working on German vehicles would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • A genuine interest in developing your skills and progressing your career.
