We are seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager to join a leading accident repair centre in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to lead and optimise a busy workshop, ensuring high standards of productivity and customer service are maintained at all times. The role offers a 39-hour week, working Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00, and Friday from 08:30 to 16:00.

Duties:
  • Lead the daily operations of a high-volume accident repair workshop
  • Drive workshop productivity and efficiency improvements
  • Support and manage the Workshop Controller and departmental supervisors
  • Oversee workflow to ensure smooth progress through all repair stages
  • Maintain high standards of quality and reduce rework and claims
  • Conduct production meetings and resolve operational issues promptly
  • Motivate, develop, and manage performance of workshop staff
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Estimating Team, Parts Department, and Quality Control
  • Monitor key performance indicators and identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Ensure timely completion of repairs and delivery commitments
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Previous management experience in a busy bodyshop or accident repair environment
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to improve workshop efficiency and productivity
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and processes
  • Ability to make decisions confidently and solve problems under pressure
  • Passion for delivering high-quality repairs and outstanding customer service
  • ATA accreditation or experience in a manufacturer-approved repair centre is advantageous but not essential
