Our client, a leading used van retailer offering services across the UK, is expanding and is looking to recruit a Used Van Sales Executive for their head office/showroom on the outskirts of Chipping Sodbury on either a self-employed or employed contract. 
  • Salary: At least £26,000 basic salary plus various bonuses available, with top performers capable of earning £100-120,000+ per annum (either a self-employed or an employed contract is available).
  • Hours: Minimum 5-day work week with work hours from 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday, Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm and Sundays 10:00am-4:00 pm (at least one weekend day per week required).

Reporting to the senior management team and working as part of a friendly team, as a Used Van Sales Executive, you will primarily be required to sell used vans (our client also has a small number of 4x4s and cars) alongside finance, insurance, and various other associated products and services to reach and exceed sales targets. A large proportion of our clients' customers purchase their vehicles over the phone and via email so the role will be predominantly selling via telephone/email. You will be required to keep customers informed of the delivery progress on their vehicle and advise them on any delays that may occur. You will be required to resolve any queries which may arise and collect payment from customers before releasing their vehicle. You must explain warranties, service arrangements, and demonstrate the features of the vehicle and offer any other support that may be required.

To be eligible, you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Chipping Sodbury region and have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Our client has stressed that they require previous automotive vehicle sales experience alongside IT literacy. Any experience selling vans/commercial vehicles would be highly advantageous; however, it is non-essential. You must be highly motivated and able to build long-term relationships with customers, continue to exceed their expectations, and increase sales. Other key attributes would include being confident and comfortable with negotiating and influencing situations, and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of our client's vehicle stock and processes.
