Our client, a nationwide automotive dealer group, are currently looking to recruit a Master Technician for their premium franchise approved car dealership located in Cheltenham. 
  • Salary: Basic salary up to £50,284 per annum pending experience/qualifications, plus performance bonuses offering a OTE £54,000+
  • Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm.
  • Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, pension scheme, and brand training, amongst others.
Reporting to the Service Manager, and working part of a friendly team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Carrying out a range of complex diagnostic, warranty and repair work on vehicles. 
  • Completing EV work (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently, working in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Using your expertise in diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve hard-to-find issues.
  • Assisting  Apprentice Vehicle Technicians with development where needed
  • Supporting the less skilled Vehicle Technicians in diagnosing all types of issues, guiding them to be highly efficient.
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and be trained to either a Diagnostic or Master Vehicle Technician level with exposure to complex diagnostic/servicing work, with experience in electrical and mechanical systems. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player who has a "mentor mindset" where they're happy to share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of the workshop. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
