Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Required in Camberley for Family Run Garage!
  • Pay: £35,000 - £40,000 Basic + Bonuses £200 - £400 per month depending on garage monthly performance
  • Hours: 8 - 5.30pm Monday - Friday + Saturdays paid at time & half 
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their busy family-run garage in Camberley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to become part of a knowledgeable team, carry out both mechanical repairs and MOT testing, and contribute to the smooth running of a well-established operation.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on experience and capability
  • Monthly bonuses of approximately £200 to £400 based on workshop performance
  • Working hours from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, with Saturdays paid at double rate and generally one Saturday off each month
  • 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays

Duties:
  • Carry out vehicle repairs and servicing, including larger jobs such as clutches and timing belts
  • Conduct Class 4, 5, and 7 MOT tests, adhering to high standards of honesty and quality
  • Perform smaller repairs such as brake pads, discs, bulbs, and repairs necessary for MOT failures
  • Provide practical expertise in mechanical work, ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Support the MOT process with demonstration tests and quality checks for qualified individuals
  • Collaborate with the workshop team and management to ensure smooth operation and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Practical experience in the vehicle trade, capable of independently carrying out mechanical repairs
  • Valid MOT licence is preferred; strong technicians without a licence may be supported through training
  • Ability to perform mechanically demanding tasks such as clutch replacements and timing belts
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK and able to work flexible hours including Saturdays
