- Basic Salary: Up to £36,000 + Bonus

- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Our client, a highly reputable Main Dealer in Bedford, is currently expanding their workshop capacity and is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, repairs, maintenance and mechanical work on a range of vehicles to a high standard.
- Complete vehicle diagnostics, accurately identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Carry out MOT testing in line with the required standards and regulations.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within manufacturer and company repair times.
- Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Identify and highlight any additional work or up-selling opportunities where appropriate.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and records accurately.
- Work closely with colleagues within the workshop and wider dealership to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Adhere to all health and safety, manufacturer and company procedures and regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Vehicle Technician role within the motor trade.
- Main Dealer experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with a genuine passion for problem-solving.
- MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently under pressure.
- A positive attitude with a strong team ethic and a commitment to delivering work to a high standard.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
