- Basic Salary: Up to £36,000 + Bonus
- OTE: £40,000
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
- 5 Saturdays a year, paid as overtime, with a day off during the week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a successful and growing main dealer in Northampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Technician looking for a stable role with excellent earning potential, ongoing training and genuine career progression.
Full manufacturer training is available, with the opportunity to develop your skills and progress towards Master Technician level.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, repairs and routine maintenance
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify any necessary repairs
- Carry out mechanical and electrical work to a high standard
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults where required
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Complete jobs within agreed timescales
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
- Identify additional repair and upselling opportunities
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Deliver a high standard of customer service
Requirements:
- Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Experience working within an automotive workshop environment
- Main dealer experience would be advantageous
- MOT Tester qualification would be beneficial
- Good mechanical and technical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Keen to develop technical skills and progress within the business
Previous main dealer experience would be advantageous, but applications from Technicians with experience in independent garages or other automotive environments will also be considered.
