- Basic Salary: Up to £39,000 depending on experience + Bonus
- Bonus based on individual time saved and team profit
- 45 hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing with service

Our client is a prestigious main dealership based within the Bedford area. They are currently looking for a PDI / Service Technician to join their highly skilled workshop team.

You will be joining a workshop team of 10 Technicians, including 4 Master Technicians, providing a highly experienced and supportive environment.
The team has extensive manufacturer knowledge and a strong culture of developing talent, making this an excellent opportunity for a Technician looking to progress their technical career within a professional main dealership environment.
Responsibilities for a PDI / Service Technician:
- Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to manufacturer standards
- Completing servicing, maintenance and routine repairs on vehicles to a high standard
- Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying any additional work required
- Following manufacturer standards, technical information and repair procedures
- Working closely with the workshop team to achieve departmental targets and maintain high standards of workmanship
- Ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest possible standard before being handed over to customers
- Keeping up to date with the latest manufacturer technical training and developments
- Contributing to a first-class customer experience
Requirements for this PDI / Service Technician role:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or PDI Technician within a main dealership or similar fast-paced workshop environment
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- A good understanding of servicing, maintenance and vehicle preparation
- MOT Licence is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently as part of a highly skilled workshop team
