Our client, a leading accident repair group based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, is looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Parts Manager to oversee their parts department. - Manage the parts department, sourcing, ordering, and controlling parts inventory to guarantee availability and competitive pricing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, proactively resolving shortages, delays, and discrepancies
- Check all received parts for accuracy, quality, and damage, addressing issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, credits, and stock movements to ensure effective stock control
- Collaborate closely with Technicians, Workshop Controllers, and VDA teams to prioritise parts requirements and minimise repair delays
- Ensure the parts environment is safe, organised, and compliant with company procedures and industry health and safety standards
- Monitor industry trends and developments to optimise parts procurement strategies
- Proven experience in parts management within the automotive or motor trade sector
- Strong understanding of parts ordering, stock control, and inventory management systems
- Knowledge of workshop operations and how parts availability impacts repair workflow
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with web-based systems, Excel, and email communication
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues
