This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to develop their career within a well-established, family-run automotive business serving clients across the North. The successful HGV Technician will be integral to maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and roadworthiness standards.

- Conduct routine maintenance inspections on HGVs to identify faults and defects
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform necessary repairs
- Service vehicles and carry out preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs in accordance with DVSA standards
- Complete and maintain accurate records of work, parts used, and diagnostic information
- Perform road tests to confirm repairs have been successful
- Adhere to health and safety standards within the workshop environment
- Support fellow team members and assist with workshop tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating repair findings and solutions
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar heavy vehicle repair role
- Strong knowledge of HGV systems, components, and repair techniques
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to the role
