We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Plant / Agricultural Fitter to join our client’s team in Windsor, Berkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong background in machinery maintenance and repair to contribute to a busy depot environment. The successful individual will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of screeners, crushers, excavators, and agricultural machinery, ensuring all equipment is productivity-ready and complies with safety standards.

Duties:
  • Maintain and service fleet of screeners, crushers, and excavators, including preparing equipment for hire
  • Conduct inductions for customers on site for machinery use
  • Attend breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime
  • Keep and update accurate records of all machine maintenance and pre-hire documentation
  • Manage parts stock and advise on procurement of spare parts
  • Upkeep workshop cleanliness and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on various plant and agricultural machinery
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in diagnostics and repairs of plant and vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulics
  • Experience in welding and fabrication is desirable
  • Excellent record-keeping skills for maintenance documentation
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible attitude towards overtime and task allocation
  • Willingness to learn new machinery and systems
  • High regard for health and safety standards and procedures
