rewarding career with excellent earning potential. Our client, a reputable and award-winning bodyshop, is seeking an experienced MET Technician to strengthen their skilled team. This is an outstanding opportunity for skilled MET Technicians looking to work in a supportive environment with flexible working options and competitive pay.

Benefits include flexible working hours, no weekend work, a workplace pension scheme, and on-site parking. The role offers a basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum, with options to work four or five days per week, tailored to your requirements.

As a MET Technician, your responsibilities will include stripping, refurbishing, and fitting a wide variety of vehicles while ensuring repair standards meet manufacturer and BSI 10125 standards. You will be working alongside a team of painters, panel beaters, and other MET fitters, reporting directly to the workshop supervisor.

Key duties of the role:
  • Demonstrate expertise in mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) fitting and stripping within a bodyshop environment
  • Carry out diagnostic work and ensure high quality repairs
  • Manage your own workload efficiently while supporting team workflows
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy with paperwork and job cards
  • Use your initiative to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Individual requirements:
  • Confidence in mechanical, electrical and trim MET fitting and stripping
  • Own tools and diagnostic experience
  • ATA/NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or a minimum of three years’ experience
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Ability to work on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines within a busy workshop environment
