Are you an experienced automotive professional seeking a rewarding role as a Workshop Controller? Our client, a well-established dealership in Southend, Essex, is looking for a skilled Workshop Controller to manage their busy service department. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to take the next step in their career within a dynamic motor trade environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of £38,000 per annum
  • OTE of up to £55,000 with achievable bonuses
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8 am to 6 pm
  • Saturdays from 8.30 am to 1 pm (1in3)
  • Supportive team environment with a focus on development
Duties:
  • Oversee a team of 19 technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
  • Manage workshop operations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Organise daily work schedules and allocate tasks to technicians accordingly
  • Ensure workshop targets and KPIs are met or exceeded
  • Liaise with reception and service advisors to provide customers with updates and technical explanations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or in a similar supervisory role within a car dealership or automotive workshop
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Automotive technical knowledge with an understanding of workshop processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
