Part Time Accounts Assistant Required for Car Dealership in Crawley!
  • Pay: £28,000 Pro Rata 
  • Hours: 24 - 30 hours per week - flexible working hours supported - up to you! 
We are currently recruiting for the position of Accounts Assistant - Part Time on behalf of a reputable dealership in Crawley, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional or an AAT student with a passion for account management within the motor trade. The role offers flexible working hours, a supportive team environment, and the chance to develop your career in automotive accounts.

  • Pro-rata salary of up to £28,000 based on full-time equivalent of 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible working hours around core times of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Duties:
  • Manage purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency
  • Post and allocate transactions on accounting system
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure timely payments
  • Support financial reporting and assist the Finance Department as required
  • Provide back-up support for the Financial Controller
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and company policies
  • Contribute to month-end procedures and financial processes within the dealership
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in accounts role, ideally within the motor trade or similar industry
  • Familiarity with Pinewood accounting software; experience with CDK (Kerridge) is advantageous but not essential
  • Good knowledge of Excel and basic IT skills
  • AAT study or qualification is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to supporting a flexible work pattern
