Optional overtime available We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join a busy bodyshop in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career in a reputable environment where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are paramount. The successful Panel Beater will handle a variety of body repairs, from assessing damage to final finishing, ensuring each vehicle is restored to the highest standard.

- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to identify necessary repairs and provide cost estimates
- Dismantle vehicles to facilitate repairs, including removing panels, bumpers, lights, and trims
- Repair or replace damaged panels using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
- Straighten and align vehicle frames and chassis using hydraulic equipment and measuring systems
- Perform welding and metalwork to restore vehicle integrity
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming, with some involvement in final paintwork
- Reassemble repaired vehicles, perform quality inspections and ensure safety standards are met
- Liaise with customers regarding repair progress and manage expectations
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater in a bodyshop environment
- Knowledge of various repairing techniques including welding, panel straightening, and surface finishing
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently within a team and maintain high standards
- Own tools are preferable but not essential as the workshop has proper equipment
