Reporting to the Service Manager and working with a friendly workshop team, as a Master Vehicle Technician your role will include accurately and skillfully undertaking the repairs and servicing of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, industry guidelines & completed to the highest standards. You will coach, mentor and provide diagnostic and technical assistance to other Vehicle Technicians to speed fault diagnosis and accurately specify repair solution. Where required you will also discuss issues directly with customers concerning any long term vehicle issues and ensure that all work is carried out in full and followed up until resolved.
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and be trained to either a Diagnostic or Master Vehicle Technician level with exposure to complex diagnostic/servicing work, with experience in electrical and mechanical systems. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player who has a "mentor mindset" where they're happy to share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of the workshop. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Your own tools and a UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
