MET Technician Required in Woolwich, South London Required for Accident Repair Centre 
  • Hours: 45 Hours per week - Flexible working hours workshop is open: 5am - 6pm Monday - Friday 
  • Pay: Depending on experience and qualifications £40,000 - £60,000 Basic + Overtime paid at time & half 
We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a reputable accident repair centre located in Woolwich. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals who are looking to progress their career within a busy, approved bodyshop environment. Our client is proud to boast a very loyal and longstanding workforce working with them! Some of the staff have been with them for 20+ years! Our client likes to promote a work hard, play hard employee working environment.

Duties:
  • Conduct accurate fault diagnosis on accident-damaged vehicles
  • Stripping and refitting mechanical and electrical components
  • Mechanical repairs including suspension and steering alignments
  • Refitting trims and interior components following manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensuring repairs meet quality standards, including welding and jig work
  • Working independently, following manufacturer repair methods and completing job cards
  • Maintaining vehicle care, organising parts, and communicating effectively with team members
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an MET Technician, with strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow precise repair procedures
  • Relevant accreditation and qualifications within the automotive repair industry
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude
  • Experience handling accident repair work including fault diagnosis and refitting
  • Knowledge of manufacturer repair methods and best practices
