Our client, a leading accident repair group, is looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Panel Technician to join their busy team in Newark. The successful Panel Beater will be responsible for carrying out high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs on commercial vehicles, including both LCV and HGV vehicles.
  • Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
  • Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out structural and cosmetic panel repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Working on a range of LCV and HGV vehicles
  • Replacing, repairing and aligning panels to manufacturer specifications
  • Carrying out panel repairs using appropriate repair methods and equipment
  • MIG/MAG welding and associated panel repair techniques
  • Working to productivity, quality and safety targets
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Working as part of a team to ensure vehicles are repaired to the required standard
About You:
  • Previous experience as a Panel Technician within a bodyshop or commercial vehicle repair environment
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles is highly desirable
  • Strong panel repair and welding skills
  • Experience with MIG/MAG welding
  • Commercial vehicle chassis and cab alignment experience would be advantageous
  • Commercial vehicle body repair experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working to BSI PAS 10125 and/or VBRA Elite Truck & Van Standards would be beneficial
  • ATA accreditation or an equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A reliable team player with a strong work ethic
