Our client, a leading accident repair group, is looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their team in Newark.

The successful individual will be responsible for accurately assessing damage to commercial vehicles, preparing repair estimates and ensuring vehicles are processed efficiently through the repair journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced VDA / Estimator with commercial vehicle experience looking to develop their career within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out detailed and accurate assessments of damaged commercial vehicles
  • Assessing both LCV and HGV vehicles
  • Preparing accurate and cost-effective repair estimates using Audatex or similar systems
  • Working in line with insurer and manufacturer guidelines
  • Liaising with customers, insurers and engineers regarding repairs
  • Working closely with the workshop and parts departments to ensure repairs progress efficiently
  • Keeping customers updated on repair progress
  • Ensuring all repair documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales
  • Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and customer service
About You:
  • Previous experience as a VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator within the accident repair industry
  • Experience using Audatex or similar estimating systems
  • ATA VDA accreditation or currently working towards this
  • Commercial vehicle experience, particularly LCV and HGV, would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional approach when dealing with customers, insurers and other departments
  • Strong team player with a commitment to delivering a high-quality service
