Our client is an independent garage seeking a Workshop Controller to join its site in the Brigg area. Existing Workshop Controllers, Technicians who have some workshop control experience, and service advisors looking for a step up are encouraged to apply. 
  • Basic Salary: up to £40,000
  • 40 Hours a week
  • Occasional weekend working may be required
  • This role is open to existing workshop controllers; technicians looking to get off the tools; service advisors looking for a more senior role; MOT Testers looking to remain testing in a more senior role
  • Our client is a successful independent garage looking to expand its operation
The Successful Workshop Controller will get:
  • A basic salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience

For this Workshop Controller role you will be:
  • Assigning work to Vehicle Technicians to ensure the smooth running of the workshop
  • The role will involve ensuring all incoming work is planned as well as managing the time and resources of your team
  • You will assign a team of Technicians to tasks, ensuring productivity is maximised and that deadlines are adhered to at all times
  • Completing office work such as invoicing and job cards
  • Dealing with customers and being the liaison between the front desk and the workshop
  • Sourcing and ordering vehicle parts
  • Getting involved in other areas of the business when needed
For this Workshop Controller role you will need:
  • Previous experience of working as a Workshop Controller within the Motor Trade, or being a technician, or being a service advisor
  • Have an enviable and proven track record of performance
  • You will have exceptional communication skills
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • The ability and willingness to lead a busy workshop team and to be able to maximise performance
  • To be living within commutable distance of the Brigg area eg Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Market Rasen, Brigg
