Commercial Shift Manager / Workshop Manager Required in Burgess Hill

Pay: £45,000 Basic with £52,000 OTE 
Hours: Rotating shifts; earlies and lates with Saturday mornings on a rota 

We are currently working with a well-established Motor Trade Commercial Fleet Service centre. Our client has been operating through Kent, Hampshire, East and West Sussex for over 30 successful years. This client has an excellent reputation and operated with over 5 depots.

They are seeking an Experienced Workshop Manager / Shift Manager who has at least 3 years Automotive Commercial  Supervisory / Management experience to join and support the work of their Commercial Service Department on their early and late shift pattern. This is a crucial role to the success of the business, as such the rewards and benefits they offer set them apart from other Commercial Repairing Workshops in their local area.

Within this Commercial Workshop Manager position your typical day to day duties will include: 
  • Managing and motivating a shift of Vehicle Technicians ensuring productivity and KPI's are met 
  • Delegating work to Technicians based on their skill and knowledge set
  • Identifying and implementing further technical training for your workshop staff
  • Maintaining accurate paperwork at all times
  • Obtaining correct level of authority to carry out repairs 
  • Processing job cards in a timely manner ensuring work in progress targets are met
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are met  
  • Plus much much more! No two days will ever be the same
