We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to take the next step in their career within a reputable dealership. The HGV Technician will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Duties:
  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance work
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and rectifying any issues identified
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar commercial vehicle role
  • Relevant Level 3 technical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • A valid driving licence; HGV licence is advantageous
