Our client, a well-established automotive business in the Scarborough area, is looking to recruit an experienced Automotive General Manager to lead their team and drive the business forward.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded individual with a strong background in the motor trade to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, improve performance and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities as a General Manager will include:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring all departments run efficiently.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance, sales targets and profitability.
  • Develop strategies to increase revenue and improve overall business performance.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage recruitment, training and staff development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturer representatives.
  • Report on business performance and identify opportunities for future growth.
Requirements that the General Manager will need:
  • Previous management experience within the automotive industry.
  • A strong understanding of dealership or automotive business operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
  • Experience managing budgets, profitability and performance targets.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to grow the business.
  • A full UK driving licence.
What's On Offer?
