MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician - Gloucester
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, pending experience, plus a workshop performance-related bonus scheme. 
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm.

Our client, a growing independent fleet repair specialist in the Gloucester region, is currently looking to hire an experienced and professional MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop! Reporting to the Operations Manager, as an MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician, your main duties will include: 
  • Repairing and servicing of a wide range of light commercial vehicles and retail cars
  • MOT preparation and testing of class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles
  • MOT repairs and rectification work
  • Use of diagnostic equipment
  • Completion of all relevant vehicle records and worksheets
  • Responding to vehicle breakdowns
  • Technical diagnostics
  • Cambelts & Clutch jobs
To be eligible, Vehicle Technician / MOT Testers must have at least IMI/NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and 1-2 years of practical experience as a Vehicle Technician. An active MOT license, preferably with Class 4, 5, and 7 qualifications, is essential. A clean UK driving license and a team-oriented, motivated attitude are also required. Experience in fleet repairs or welding and fabrication is advantageous but not essential.
