Vehicle Panel Beater - Neath
  • Salary: Up to £19-20 per hour, depending on experience and current earnings. 
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Due to business expansion, our client, an automotive accident repair centre located in the Neath region, is currently looking to recruit a Panel Beater to join their busy workshop. 

Reporting to the General Manager and working as part of a team, as a Panel Beater, your key objectives will include:
  • Assess vehicle damage and identify appropriate repair methods.
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels, doors and bumpers.
  • Complete chassis and structural repairs as required.
  • Carry out metal finishing, filler work, welding, bonding and riveting.
  • Check completed repairs and report any additional damage or work required.
  • Support the efficient progression of vehicles through the workshop.
  • Maintain a safe, organised working area and follow company health and safety procedures.
  • Carry out road tests where required and authorised.
  • Use workshop tablets to view job information and record repair progress. Training and support will be provided.
To be eligible for this role, you will ideally be a fully qualified Panel Beater to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Alternatively, our client is willing to consider professionals with strong time-served experience working as a Paint Sprayer. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed Panel Beater and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality workmanship in a busy working environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Panel Beaters with an ATA accreditation would be highly advantageous, but it is not essential.
