Our client, a family-run commercial vehicle dealer group established across South West England, requires a Vehicle Parts Assistant/Driver to join their busy dealership in Swindon.

Reporting to the Parts Manager and working as part of a friendly team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering excellent customer service and establishing customers’ vehicle parts requirements.
  • Locating and ordering the correct parts and consumables.
  • Receiving, recording and allocating parts and consumables from suppliers.
  • Delivering and collecting parts as required, including deliveries to customers.
  • Using the dealer management system (DMS) to record and control parts.
  • Supporting parts stock checks and reporting damaged, missing or lost stock.
  • Arranging the return of parts to suppliers.
  • Communicating relevant promotions and offers to workshop control and customers.
To be eligible for this role, our client requires recent or current experience working with automotive vehicle parts. Experience in a similar role for a commercial vehicle dealership would be very beneficial but is not essential. Overall, you will be IT-literate, given you will work daily with a dealer management system and an electronic parts catalogue system, hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, and have strong customer service/sales skills in a friendly and charismatic manner.
