We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a successful family-run automotive business in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a supportive team, enjoy a Monday to Friday working pattern and benefit from long-term career progression.

Duties:
  • As an Accounts Assistant, you will maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Make and record payments in line with company procedures.
  • Operate cash management and credit control systems.
  • Provide accurate financial information to support management controls.
  • Ensure financial activities comply with relevant guidelines and procedures.
  • Use technology effectively to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Manage your own performance and contribute to the effective operation of the business.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to improve profitability and customer care.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships across the business.
  • Contribute to improved processes and support company projects involving other sites, departments and franchises.
  • Promote a high standard of quality, clear communication and customer care in every situation.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance position.
  • Good understanding of maintaining financial records, processing payments and credit control.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to listen and provide clear information.
  • A customer-focused attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet required deadlines.
  • Confidence using business systems and technology.
  • A positive approach to improving processes and supporting wider business objectives.
