  • Salary: Around £30,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience). 
  • Hours: 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Our client, one of the UK’s most successful independently owned automotive groups, is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join head office in Swindon.

Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, your role will be to maintain an efficient and methodical system in all matters which relate to vehicle stock book invoice and cashbook entry of bank transactions and related matters. You will also ensure accurate records are kept and maintained daily, maintaining clarity and precision in all transactions and recording and passing all messages expeditiously and accurately.

To be eligible, you will ideally live within an easily commutable distance of Swindon and will need to hold recent or current experience working within a similar accounts/finance role. You will need to be IT literate with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel and have a methodical and organised approach, as well as being a team player. Experience working in the motor industry or with the SAGE accounting software system would be advantageous, but is non-essential. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also required, as this position may occasionally require you to travel between sites within our client's group.
