We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Mobile HGV Trailer Technician to cover Daventry and the surrounding areas. Our client is seeking a Mobile HGV Trailer Technician to join a leading national commercial vehicle services company, providing essential maintenance and repair support at customer sites.

Benefits:
  • Basic salary of up to £45,000, with an OTE of £54,000 through overtime.

Duties:
  • Service, inspect, maintain and repair trailers at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across curtain siders, tail lifts, axles, braking systems and associated components.
  • Prepare trailers for MOT inspections and ensure roadworthiness standards are met.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Use a fully equipped mobile service unit to carry out efficient repairs.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job reports and defect documentation.
  • Manage your workload effectively while delivering a professional customer service.
  • The Mobile HGV Trailer Technician will work independently while supporting customer fleets and minimising vehicle downtime.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Mobile HGV Trailer Technician, HGV Technician or in a similar heavy mechanical maintenance role is essential.
  • Experience working on trailers, HGVs, plant machinery or comparable heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of tail lifts, curtain siders, axles and braking systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to diagnose faults, complete repairs independently and work effectively in a mobile environment.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, but not essential.
  • An HGV driving licence is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, positive attitude and willingness to develop technical expertise.
