Senior Front of House Advisor Vacancy - Independent Garage Northampton
  • Basic Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus 
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
  • No weekends worked.

We are recruiting for a commercially minded Front of House / Service Advisor to join an established, independent automotive business.

Offering a basic salary of £40,000–£45,000 plus bonus, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who understands the importance of maximising workshop sales while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Reporting to the existing Front of House Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the service department, with a particular emphasis on sales conversion and customer retention.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Maximising sales opportunities from vehicle health checks, inspections and diagnostic reports.
  • Presenting recommended repairs and additional work confidently to customers.
  • Converting inspection findings into authorised work to maximise workshop revenue.
  • Providing professional advice on servicing, maintenance and repairs.
  • Managing customer communications throughout the service process.
  • Working closely with technicians to identify and communicate additional work requirements.
  • Delivering excellent customer service while achieving sales and performance objectives.
Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone who combines strong automotive knowledge with genuine commercial ability.
  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor or Front of House Advisor within the motor trade.
  • A strong track record of selling additional work from vehicle inspections and health checks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
  • Experience within an independent garage, main dealer or ideally both environments.
  • A proactive approach to sales, with the confidence to maximise every appropriate opportunity.
  • The ability to work effectively within a busy service department.
  • Experience with structured vehicle inspections and health checks is particularly important for this position.
