Our client is seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their team in Bolton. As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the senior management team with accurate financial reporting and commercial insight.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Providing financial analysis and reporting to support business performance and decision-making.
- Managing day-to-day financial activities and responding to financial queries.
- Identifying financial variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Leading and supporting a small team of accounts and administration colleagues.
- Ensuring financial processes and procedures are maintained in line with company standards.
- Working closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the business.
- A recognised accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience.
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance position.
- Strong analytical, numerical and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of financial responsibilities.
- Experience leading, motivating or supporting a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, commercially aware and professional approach.
- Previous experience within the automotive industry would be advantageous, although candidates from other commercial or retail finance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Competitive basic salary of £50,000 – £57,000, depending on experience.
