Our client, a well-established automotive business in the Leeds area, is looking to recruit an experienced Automotive General Manager to lead their team and help drive the business forward.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in the motor trade to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, improve performance and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities as a General Manager will include:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring all departments run efficiently.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance, sales targets and profitability.
  • Develop strategies to increase revenue and improve overall business performance.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Help with recruitment, training and staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturer representatives.
  • Report on business performance and identify opportunities for future growth.
Requirements that the General Manager will need:
  • Previous management experience within the automotive industry, either as a general manager or as a service manager / workshop controller.
  • A strong understanding of the motor trade.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
  • Experience managing budgets, profitability and performance targets.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to grow the business.
  • A full UK driving licence.
