We are recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy main dealer workshop in Helston, Cornwall. This Vehicle Technician opportunity offers a competitive basic salary of £35,000, with an achievable OTE of £45,000, alongside the chance to develop your technical expertise through manufacturer training.

  • Monday to Friday working hours with one-in-three Saturday mornings
Duties:
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on passenger vehicles
  • Completing diagnostic and mechanical work to a high standard
  • Performing MOT tests where qualified and authorised
  • Accurately recording work digitally from job start to completion
  • Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets
  • Supporting the wider workshop team and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
  • Carrying out occasional work on vans and commercial vehicles
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership, independent garage or similar workshop environment
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification preferred.
  • MOT Tester qualification is desirable
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A willingness to complete manufacturer training and progress through the available qualification levels
