Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Required in Croydon
Pay: £30,000 - £40,000 Basic DOE 
Hours: 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday with Saturdays on a rota 

We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join our client's busy automotive workshop in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to carry out high-quality servicing, repairs and basic diagnostics while earning up to £40,000, depending on experience.

Benefits

  • Basic salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm
  • Every other Saturday, 8.00am to 1.00pm

Duties

  • Working as a Vehicle Technician, carrying out servicing and general repairs on customer vehicles
  • Completing brake repairs, clutch replacements and other mechanical work
  • Conducting basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Carrying out MOT tests if qualified 
  • Producing consistently high-quality work while maintaining efficiency and productivity
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Communicating professionally with colleagues and customers
Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester or experienced Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician
  • A Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • An MOT Tester qualification is preferred but not essential
  • A full and valid UK or EU driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A well-organised, self-motivated and dependable approach
  • Professional presentation, punctuality and politeness at all times
