We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/ MOT Tester to join our busy main dealer workshop in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified automotive professional seeking a stable role, strong earning potential and ongoing manufacturer training.

This Vehicle Technician/ MOT Tester position offers a basic salary of up to £39,500, plus bonus, with an estimated OTE of £45,000.

Duties

As a Vehicle Technician/ MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance
  • Completing MOT tests to the required standards
  • Diagnosing faults and undertaking repair work
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed
  • Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Promoting a professional image and consistently delivering quality customer service
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
  • Completing any other duties reasonably requested by management
Requirements

To succeed as a Vehicle Technician/ MOT Tester, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing and Repair
  • A valid MOT Tester Licence
  • Previous experience working within a main dealer or automotive retailer environment
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing work correctly
  • A positive, professional and reliable attitude
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience or training in electric and hybrid vehicles would be advantageous
  • A smart and professional approach in keeping with a premium automotive environment
