Trainee CAD Design Engineer 

Our client is a family run business, who are totally self- sufficient in terms of their manufacturing processes.

They have developed a leading range of products and attachments and have a strong foot hold in the UK material handling attachments market.

They are currently looking for a Trainee CAD Design Engineer to join their friendly and professional design team. 

The package for the successful Trainee CAD Design Engineer:
  • £20,000 - £22,000 
  • Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00 (08:30-16:30 Fri)
  • Fantastic development opportunity 
Responsibilities of the Trainee CAD Design Engineer:
  • To produce a set of working detail and assembly drawings to meet the design brief in line with the technical specification in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with sales & operations to ensure designs meet customer expectations and specification.
  • Liaise with Purchasing to procure parts.
  • Preparation of contract documentation, Drawings, BOM, CE documents, O&M manuals.
  • Work on any reasonable task as instructed by your direct manager or other senior manager
  • Liaise with Production to provide detailed instructions and to discuss technical issues during the build
  • Design within current H&S guidelines & customer specific health & safety requirements.
  • Assist troubleshoot production problems
  • Attend customers site as required for site surveys or trouble shooting, installations. This can involve weekend & or other unsociable times.
Requirements of the Trainee CAD Design Engineer:
  • CAD experience (Solid works)
  • Mechanical design aptitude
  • Interest in Machinery
