Vehicle Panel/MET Technician required in Swansea.
  • Starting salary up to £30,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience).
  • 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with flexibility on start/finish times.
  • Chance to join a growing independent local accident repair centre established since 2019.
Due to business expansion our client, an independent automotive accident repair centre situated in Swansea, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Panel/MET Technician to join their team.

Reporting to the Director and working as part of a team of five, your key responsibilities as a Bodyshop Technician  will include:
  • Undertake removal, replacement, and repair of damaged or compromised vehicle bodywork panels as well as mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ensuring displaced vehicle parts are stored correctly and safely for refitting.
  • Complete chassis and framework repairs.
  • Accurately assess vehicle damage and apply appropriate methods to produce a high quality repair.
  • Conduct bumper and door repair works as required.
  • Ensure all work carried out meet internal and third party quality standards.
  • Refit the vehicle, taking care and attention not to damage freshly painted panels and ensuring panel gaps are true and within manufacturers tolerances.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure centre operations run efficiently and safely.
  • Ensures the maintenance of tools, equipment, and other materials.
  • Performs other ad-hoc duties as and when required. 
In order to be eligible for this Bodyshop Technician role, you will need to have current or recent experience working as a Vehicle Panel or MET Technician.

Formal qualifications as either a Vehicle Panel or MET Technician to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be desirable however our client is willing to consider Bodyshop Technicians with strong "on the job" experience that are able to work to their meticulous standards.

Overall as a Bodyshop Technician, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multi-tasking, and have a UK driving license with minimal points.

Candidates applying for this Bodyshop Technician role with an ATA accreditation or experience working to BSI 10125 Kitemark Standards would be highly beneficial but it is non-essential.

  • Starting salary up to £30,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience).
  • Overtime subject to availability paid at standard rate.
  • 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays).

  • Chance to join a growing independent local accident repair centre established since 2019.
  • Working hours from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday however our client is willing to be flexible with start/finish time. Occasional Saturday work is also available however this is non-essential.
