Inventory Manager

Our client, a very successful global packaging solutions company, is looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to join their team in Suffolk. 

Inventory Manager Role Package
  • £40,000 - £45,000 Basic
  • Plus Car Allowance 
  • 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
  • 25 days holiday plus banks.
Inventory Manager Job Role:
  • Responsible for leading, motivating and developing the Inventory team to ensure stock inventory levels, accuracy and processes are managed efficiently and adhered too.
  • Responsible for stock management of end to end Inventory cycle, including Goods in Transit, receipt into storage and full duration of storage.
  • Lead process improvements across responsible inventory cycle to improve ways of working and collaborate with other functions to align on End to End improvement.
  • Responsible for reporting and improving Inventory KPIs, driving actions across all functions, improving visibility of key metrics and trends.
  • Liaise with planning and logistics to ensure daily operations run efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible for stock & product related master data and cover and assist Stock Logistics tasks and all associated administration and cost management.
  • Lead relevant cross-functional working and collaboration with other departments to ensure knowledge sharing and reduce competence gaps across the team.

Skills and experience required for this Inventory Manager role:
  • Excellent working knowledge of Inventory governance and stock control, along with experience of managing business operations
  • Strong Leadership skills and able to motivate, coach and develop teams to drive business performance
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and operational transactions to enable coaching, developing and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills to accurately monitor, forecast and create visibility of Inventory requirements
  • Problem solver, with experience in root cause analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a high level of work accuracy. Ability to multitask and manage tasks simultaneously
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain and operational processes
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to lead and support
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and highly organised
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present information, ‘tell the story’ simply.
  • Development and use of KPI dashboards
  • Excellent numeracy skills with IT experience (Microsoft Office, with Advanced Excel knowledge, Power BI)
  • Experience in S&OP demand forecasting, and supply planning (desirable)
  • Experience and knowledge of SAGE 200 would be beneficial
  • Able to make decisions in a pressured/busy environment
  • Full driving license.
