Our Client, an independent garage predominantly dealing with Used Cars based in the Southampton area, dealing with all makes of models of vehicles are seeking a Vehicle Technician for their branch in Southampton.

They are a well-respected automotive business, with multiple sites across the Hampshire area, providing a whole range of automotive services.

Our Client has a great reputation for creating a friendly working environment, away from the day-to-day pressures of Manufacturers and Dealer Groups.  

They are seeking individuals who want to be part of a special team for the long-haul, and help ensure that the business offers a stable environment for staff and customers alike.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of vehicles while maintaining company and industry standards and adhering to time constraints
  • Carry out MOT preperation
  • Carry out vehicle repairs and communicate issues to service manager and service advisors; conduct additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
  • Keep work area clean, neat, and to company standards, especially to ensure safety of all team members
What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Similar – Time Served Considered
  • To provide basic tooling and equipment, or be able to purchase own basic tooling and equipment prior to employment
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Organisational skills, and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of the motor trade
  • Good team player
  • Full UK driving licence (Necessity)
