Vehicle Technician Vacancy - Leicester Independent Garage
  • Basic Salary: Circa £32,000
  • Performance related bonus on top. 
  • Monday - Friday : 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • No Weekends!
  • Overtime Available. 
My client is a well established independent dealership located in Leicester. A rare opportunity has arrisen to join their garage, they don't often have vacancies, last one was in 2021! This demonstrates their decication and investment in their staff happiness. 

Working Monday-Friday only and still being paid a competitive package, tailored to your experience. This is not a vacancy to miss out on if you're considering a change! The garage themselves have been in the area for a while, and have a loyal customer basis, as they're known for their skilled technicians. 

The company in question value EXPERIENCE over qualifications. All time-served technicians without qualifications are welcome to apply. It is worth noting that trained technicians with qualifications are preferred. But hold back on your application, if you have the skills! 

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities: 
  • Vehicle Diagnosis: Efficiently diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in a variety of vehicles, utilizing diagnostic tools and manual inspection techniques.

  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to engine and transmission repairs, brake and suspension work, oil changes, and scheduled maintenance services.

  • Quality Workmanship: Execute all repairs and services with precision, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer specifications, to ensure the safety and satisfaction of customers.

  • Parts Management: Manage and order automotive parts and components as needed, maintaining an organized inventory and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies for repairs.

  • Customer Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with customers, providing clear explanations of repair recommendations, estimated costs, and timelines, and addressing any questions or concerns.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and staying updated on industry advancements and best practices to deliver the highest quality service.
Vehicle Technician Requirements:
  • Level 3 Qualification - OR - Time served within a garage. 
  • Strong communication ability.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a workshop environment. 
  • MOT License Ideal but not necessary.
