Our client, a long-standing dealership group in Northamptonshire, is actively looking for a Service Manager to oversee the Service Department at their Corby Dealership.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual with a proven track record in service management to join a well-established automotive team.

They are able to consider candidates from a Senior Advising background, Workshop Controller background or Assistant Service Manager, meaning this is also a great opportunity for an experienced aftersales professional to step up into a senior management position.

You will report to, and be directly supported by the Group Aftersales Manager, who is a great personality, and excellent at what he does.

Responsibilities of a Service Manager:
  • Lead and manage a team of 6 Technicians and coordinate Service Advisors.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of service departments, maintaining high-quality standards and optimising workflow.
  • Prioritise customer satisfaction by overseeing the delivery of exceptional service and addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance their skills, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and achieve performance metrics, including service targets, customer satisfaction, and financial goals.
  • Manage budgets, expenses, and resources effectively to maximise profitability.
  • Work collaboratively with other department heads and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.
Requirements for this role:
  • Proven experience as an aftersales professional, ideally in a management position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Familiarity with automotive service processes and industry standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
