Light Commercial Vehicle Technician Required in Erith
  • Location: Erith, Kent Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on ability) + overtime
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM), with 1 Saturday in 2 (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
Our client, a leading Commercial Vehicle Dealership, is experiencing continued success and growth. They are seeking a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to work their established Rotating shift and join the team of Commercial Vehicle Mechanics at their Erith location.

As a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Delivering top-tier mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and modifications on customer vehicles and related equipment.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment for all colleagues and individuals within the workshop.
  • Collaborating effectively to foster strong employee and customer relationships, helping the workshop meet its goals and targets.
  • Executing thorough preventative maintenance and repair tasks to high standards.
  • Accurately diagnosing faults to ensure correct fitting of replacement parts and compliance with warranty terms.
  • Handling enquiries professionally, completing job cards and service sheets promptly.
  • Performing diagnostic analysis as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working on Light Commercial Vehicles in a commercial dealer environment.
  • Practical knowledge of using information technology and systems to meet objectives.
  • A safety-focused attitude with a commitment to achieving the right result the first time.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment with a flexible approach to customer needs.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and a consistent ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to develop good relationships with colleagues.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of a busy workshop environment.
  • An HGV Class 1 license (preferred but not essential) or NVQ level 3 (essential).
