About the Sales Administrator Role Our client is looking for a Sales Administrator with a passion for success and a commitment to fostering excellent team morale within an already cohesive and high-performing team. This Sales Administrator role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the sales department, supporting the team in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The ideal Sales Administrator will bring previous Sales Administration experience within the motor trade, as the role demands a strong understanding of industry-specific processes and systems. Familiarity with Kerridge (or similar dealership management software) is highly advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right Sales Administrator.
Key Duties and Responsibilitie
- Order Processing: Collaborate closely with the Sales team to accurately process vehicle orders in line with sales agreements, ensuring all details are correct and timelines are met.
- Invoicing: Prepare and complete sales invoicing, ensuring all costs (e.g., optional extras, taxes, and fees) are accurately included and compliant with company standards.
- Pre-Delivery Administration: Manage all pre-delivery tasks, including vehicle registration, insurance arrangements, road tax applications, and coordination with external bodies.
- Team Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sales team, keeping them informed of customer order statuses, potential delays, or issues that may impact sales.
- Customer Communication: Act as a point of contact for customers when required, providing updates on order progress and ensuring a professional and positive experience.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records in the dealership’s management system, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
- Experience: Proven experience in a Sales Administration role within the motor trade is essential. Sales Administrators with Kerridge experience will have a distinct advantage.
- Skills: Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: A positive, proactive attitude with a desire to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team culture.
- IT Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and dealership management systems.
