  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch break + breaks)
About Our Client Our client is a family-owned crash repair centre based in Croydon, renowned for their high-quality work and commitment to fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment. They believe their staff are their greatest asset and are dedicated to future-proofing their business by investing in the right Bodyshop Preppers. They’re looking for a motivated individual with a great attitude to join their close-knit team and grow within their paint shop.

Our client is seeking a Vehicle Prepper / Paint Shop All-Rounder to support their paint shop operations. This Bodyshop Prepper role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, rather than extensive experience. The focus will be on vehicle preparation tasks, with some strip and fit work desirable but not essential. The right Bodyshop Prepper will have the opportunity to develop their skills and contribute to a thriving team.

Duties Include:
  • Preparing vehicles for paint spraying, including masking, sanding, and priming.
  • Assisting with general paint shop tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Occasional strip and fit work (desirable but not essential).
  • Maintaining high standards to meet customer expectations.
They’re not seeking a highly experienced professional with 15-20 years in the field. Instead, they want someone eager to grow, with a strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset - attitude is king!

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: Approximately £35,000, depending on experience and how helpful and willing to learn you are to the team.
  • 3-month probation period, followed by eligibility for a bonus scheme.
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Uniform provided by the company.
  • No weekend work at this time.
Who Our Client is Looking For:
  • Some experience in a garage, crash repair centre, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle preparation tasks (masking, sanding, priming).
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Strip and fit experience is a bonus but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence is required.
