HGV/LCV Technician required in Bicester.
  • Starting salary up to £43,680 per annum pending experience/qualifications.
  • Efficiency bonuses up to 6,000 per annum (paid monthly).

  • 40 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Optional Saturday work is available.

Our client, a family-run automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England, is currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy dealership in Bicester, working on both heavy goods and light commercial vehicles.

Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of a team in a modern purpose-built workshop, your key objectives as a Commercial Vehicle Technician will include:
  • To complete all service work and defined maintenance work of the utmost quality and efficiency on heavy goods and light commercial vehicles within the manufacturer's time schedules.
  • Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.
  • Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
  • Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnoses and repairs of malfunctions.
  • To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are always adhered to.
  • Document the results of diagnosis/repairs/service/safety inspections.
To be eligible, an IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in either Heavy or Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be essential, alongside practical experience working with both heavy goods and light commercial vehicles. Overall, you will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Commercial Vehicle Technicians with an active HGV driving licence or an IRTEC accreditation would be highly advantageous; however, this is non-essential.
