Master Technician Vacancy - Bedford Main Dealer
  • Basic Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus
  • OTE: £49,000 (Uncapped)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours 
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, paid as overtime 
  • 3 Month Bonus Guarantee 
  • Option for 4-day working week 
Responsibilities as a Master Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and complex mechanical repairs to manufacturer and brand standards
  • Lead in technical problem-solving, supporting colleagues with escalated or intricate vehicle issues
  • Carry out in-depth vehicle health checks, inspections, and technical assessments with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ensure efficient job execution within manufacturer-recommended timescales and to job card specifications
  • Utilise specialist diagnostic tools and software to identify, analyse, and resolve vehicle faults
  • Support and mentor junior technicians, sharing expertise and encouraging best practice within the workshop
Requirements of the Master Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience in a Master Technician role within a main dealer or professional service environment
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Manufacturer-recognised Master Technician Accreditation (preferred or working towards)
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities with experience using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • A meticulous approach with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering first-class workmanship
