MOT Tester required in Wells. 

  • Starting salary between £34-36,000 per annum plus performance-related bonus providing on-target-earnings around £38-40,200 per annum.
  • Guaranteed 5-day/42.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturdays and a day off in the week when you work a Saturday.
Our client, an automotive service centre/tyre retailer with multiple locations nationwide, is currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy centre in Wells. Reporting to the Centre Manager and working as part of a friendly workshop team, you shall be primarily responsible for carrying out MOT tests on customers’ vehicles to Ministry standards. You shall also diagnose and carry out associated service and repair work, as well as provide overall workshop support as and when required.
 
To be eligible, you will need to hold an active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence and a UK driving license with minimal points. You will ideally be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; however, our client is also interested in people who are time served in their experience of vehicle mechanics, provided they have an active MOT licence. Overall, you will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work through the workshop.
