Vehicle Prep/PDI Technician required in Hereford.
  • Starting salary around £30,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience) with a bonus scheme and benefits providing on-target earnings around £39,000 per annum. 
  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm (43.5 hours per week).
  • Full in-house and manufacturer-approved training provided with a clear development programme for staff.
Our client, a premium franchise-approved car dealership in the Hereford area, is looking to hire a Vehicle Prep/PDI Technician for their busy Service Department.

Reporting to the Workshop Controller and working as part of a friendly workshop team, as a Vehicle Prep/PDI Technician, your main duties will involve
  • Pre-delivery inspections and mechanical repairs on new and used cars to approved standards.
  • Visually inspect the exterior and interiors.
  • Report all defects to factory-ordered options.
  • Fit accessories.
  • Complete any associated paperwork before delivery to customers.
  • Road testing on vehicles.
You will ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance of Hereford and will need to be a qualified Vehicle Technician to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair as a minimum. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. An active MOT licence would be highly advantageous; however is non-essential as full training is provided.
